WINDOW & DOOR REPAIRS
REPAIR SERVICES
Window Repairs
Sticking windows, faulty mechanisms, damaged hinges and windows that no longer open or close properly can often be repaired without replacing the complete frame.
Door Repairs
Doors that stick, drop, catch or become difficult to close or lock can often be adjusted or repaired. We’ll identify the cause and recommend the most practical solution.
Misted & Broken Glass Replacement
Misted double glazing, condensation between the panes or cracked glass doesn’t always mean replacing the whole window. In many cases, the failed or damaged glass unit can be replaced while keeping the existing frame.
Window & Door Lock Repairs
Faulty locks and locking mechanisms can make windows and doors difficult to operate and affect security. Depending on the problem, damaged components can often be repaired or replaced without replacing the complete window or door.
Handles, Hinges & Adjustments
Broken handles, worn hinges and poor alignment can cause windows and doors to stick, drop or become difficult to close. Adjustment or replacement hardware can often restore normal operation.
Draughts, Seals & Gaskets
Draughts around windows and doors can be caused by worn seals, poor compression, alignment problems or gaps around the frame. We’ll identify the source of the problem and recommend the appropriate repair.

FAQ
QUESTIONS WE’RE OFTEN ASKED
WHY HAS MY DOUBLE GLAZING MISTED UP BETWEEN THE PANES?
Misting between the panes usually means the sealed glass unit has failed, allowing moisture to get inside. In many cases, the glass unit can be replaced without replacing the entire window frame.
CAN MISTED OR BROKEN GLASS BE REPLACED WITHOUT REPLACING THE WHOLE WINDOW?
Yes. If the frame is still in good condition, we can often replace just the failed or damaged glass unit, which can be more cost-effective than replacing the complete window.
WHY IS MY WINDOW OR DOOR DIFFICULT TO OPEN OR CLOSE?
This can be caused by worn hinges, alignment problems, damaged handles or issues with the locking mechanism. We’ll identify the cause and advise on the most practical repair.
WHAT CAUSES DRAUGHTS AROUND WINDOWS AND DOORS?
Draughts can be caused by worn seals, poor compression, gaps or alignment problems. We can inspect the window or door to identify where the draught is coming from and recommend the appropriate repair.
IS IT BETTER TO REPAIR OR REPLACE AN OLD WINDOW OR DOOR?
It depends on its overall condition and the fault. If the main frame is still sound, a repair may be all that’s needed. If there are several problems or the unit is badly deteriorated, replacement may make more sense long term.
DO YOU REPAIR WINDOWS AND DOORS YOU DIDN’T ORIGINALLY INSTALL?
Yes. We can assess and repair many existing windows and doors regardless of who originally installed them, subject to the condition of the unit and availability of suitable replacement parts.
